Our vision is to ensure educators of young people never have to abandon a great idea to enrich their teaching, and the awesome impact it could have, for simple lack of resources.
By helping educators realize their innovative ideas and by making it possible for them to act on inspiration in their teaching, we can not only advance their vision, but also realize the exponential impact of their ideas.
Students’ curiosity continues even after the school day ends and transcends traditional school subjects. We seek to ignite educators’ sparks of inspiration to engage that curiosity rather than allow them to fizzle out for lack of means to make them happen.
Whether providing vital classroom tools for students, funding enriching professional development for teachers, or contributing to an innovative student program to propel learning beyond the classroom, we help education take flight by placing specialized tools, training, and resources within educators’ reach.

The Fogelquist Fund for Education was established to honor the life of Sara Fogelquist and follows through on her ambition as a dedicated historic preservationist, an avid learner, and creative educator. Our mission to raise funds to further the education of young people reflects her core values.
